How do you usually get to work? How long have you been using this commute option?

I am the primary driver for our van. I’ve been primary driver since November of 2014.

How far is your commute? How long does it take you each way?

31 miles, 35 minutes in the morning and 50-55 minutes in afternoon.

What made you decide to commute this way?

Save on gas & toll and help others to do so too. We take off the road that many more cars to decrease the increase in traffic.

What do you enjoy about your commute? 

Driving over the bridge, with a view of the sound.

Do you have any interesting stories from your commute? 

During the Snowmageddon of 2019, we couldn’t make it up a hill, and had to safely turn around to go an alternative route because of all the ice slick snow! 

Do you think you save money by commuting this way? 

Yes. With gas and toll costs.

How does your company help accommodate your commute option? 

Company helps pay for the van, and we pay for our seat to ride the van.

Is there anything your company could do better to accommodate your commute option?

This option is a great one.

What would you say to your fellow employees to inspire them to try using a commute option other than driving alone in their car? 

This is a definite money saver. Passengers have the ability to: relax, read, talk, watch movies, etc.!
